Summary

CVE-2023-4916 is a Cross-Site Request Forgery (CSRF) vulnerability affecting the Login with phone number plugin for WordPress. Versions up to and including 1.5.6 are vulnerable. The issue stems from a lack of nonce validation on the 'lwp_update_password_action' function. As a result, unauthenticated attackers can manipulate user passwords by tricking site administrators into carrying out actions like clicking on malicious links. This vulnerability poses a significant security risk, as it allows attackers to gain unauthorized access to user accounts.
