Summary

CVE-2023-49080 is a vulnerability affecting the Jupyter Server, which provides backend services for web applications such as Jupyter Notebook, JupyterLab, and Voila. When an authenticated user encounters an error in API requests, unintended traceback information is exposed, including path information. Although the requesting user already has execution permissions, the disclosed paths are not considered sensitive. A fix for this issue has been implemented in commit `0056c3aa52`, which was included in version 2.11.2. Users are strongly advised to upgrade to this version to mitigate the vulnerability. Currently, there are no known workarounds for this issue.
