Summary

CVE-2023-48985 is a Cross-Site Scripting (XSS) vulnerability affecting versions of CU Solutions Group (CUSG) Content Management System (CMS) prior to 7.75. This issue permits a remote attacker to inject and execute malicious scripts on a user's browser, potentially leading to arbitrary code execution, privilege escalation, and sensitive information disclosure. The vulnerability targets the login.php component, leaving CUSG CMS users at risk if they visit a maliciously crafted link. This security flaw can result in various undesirable consequences, including unauthorized access to sensitive data or even system takeover.
