CVE-2023-48947 is a newly identified vulnerability affecting openlink virtuoso-opensource version 7.2.11. The flaw lies within the cha_cmp function, which can be exploited by attackers to trigger a Denial of Service (DoS) condition. By executing a crafted SELECT statement, they can cause the system to become unresponsive, resulting in a service disruption for users. This vulnerability poses a risk to the availability of affected systems and requires an immediate update to the vulnerable version.
