Summary

CVE-2023-48886 is a deserialization vulnerability affecting NettyRpc version 1.2. This issue enables attackers to exploit the software by sending specially crafted RPC (Remote Procedure Call) requests. Successful exploitation allows the attacker to execute arbitrary commands on the vulnerable system. The deserialization process in NettyRpc fails to validate incoming data, making it susceptible to malicious input and potential code injection. System administrators are advised to update their installations to a patched version of NettyRpc as soon as possible to mitigate this risk.
