Summary

CVE-2023-48861 is a critical DLL hijacking vulnerability affecting TTplayer version 7.0.2. Malicious actors can exploit this flaw to gain higher privileges and run arbitrary code on local systems. The vulnerability lies in the way urlmon.dll is handled by the media player software. Successful exploitation requires the attacker to manipulate a specially crafted media file, making it a significant risk for organizations with widespread use of TTplayer.
