Summary

CVE-2023-48802 is a new vulnerability affecting the TOTOLINK X6000R V9.4.0cu.852_B20230719 firmware. The issue lies in the shttpd file and specifically the sub_4119A0 function. When Uci_Set_Str is used to set fields from the front-end, the CsteSystem function processes the input unsafely, resulting in a command execution vulnerability. An attacker may exploit this flaw to execute arbitrary code and gain unauthorized access to the system. Users are advised to update their firmware as soon as a patch becomes available to mitigate this risk.
