Summary

CVE-2023-48730 is a cross-site scripting (XSS) vulnerability identified in the navbarMenuAndLogo.php user name functionality of WWBN AVideo's dev master commit 15fed957fb. This issue allows a malicious actor to execute arbitrary JavaScript codes through a specially crafted HTTP request. By tricking a user into visiting a malicious webpage, an attacker can exploit this vulnerability and inject malicious scripts into the targeted website, potentially stealing sensitive user information or performing unauthorized actions. This poses a significant risk to users, making it necessary for WWBN AVideo to release a patch as soon as possible to mitigate this threat.
