Summary

CVE-2023-48728 is a newly discovered cross-site scripting (XSS) vulnerability. It affects the function getOpenGraph videoName in WWBN AVideo versions 11.6 and dev master commit 3c6bb3ff. Maliciously crafted HTTP requests can exploit this issue, resulting in the execution of arbitrary JavaScript codes. An attacker can manipulate users into visiting a compromised webpage to trigger the vulnerability. Successful exploitation could lead to data theft, session hijacking, or other malicious activities. Users are advised to update their WWBN AVideo software to mitigate this risk.
