Summary

CVE-2023-48711 is a Server-Side Request Forgery (SSRF) vulnerability affecting the npm package "google-translate-api-browser". Applications utilizing this package and exposing the `translateOptions` to end-users are at risk. An attacker can manipulate the `tld` field in `translateOptions`, causing the application to generate unsafe URLs. These URLs can point to local resources, enabling attackers to send requests to internal networks and potentially exploit vulnerable HTTPS applications. The issue has been resolved in version 4.1.3, and users are advised to upgrade as soon as possible. There are currently no known workarounds for this vulnerability.
