Summary

CVE-2023-48699 is a vulnerability affecting the fastbots library, version prior to 0.1.5. This library, used for fast bot and scraper development with selenium and the Page Object Model (POM), contains a flaw in its `page.py` file. The issue lies within the `__locator__` function, which does not adequately validate user-provided locator names. An attacker can exploit this and modify the locators.ini file with malicious python code, leading to Remote Code Execution (RCE). Upgrading to fastbots version 0.1.5 or above is recommended to mitigate this risk.
