Summary

CVE-2023-48698 is a remote code execution vulnerability affecting Azure RTOS USBX, a USB stack integrated with Azure RTOS ThreadX. The issue lies in expired pointer dereferences within Azure RTOS USBX, which can be exploited by attackers. The vulnerability affects components related to device linked classes, GSER, and HID in RTOS v6.2.1 and below. No known workarounds exist, and users are strongly advised to upgrade to USBX release 6.3.0 to mitigate this risk.
