Summary

CVE-2023-48583 is a Cross-site Scripting (XSS) vulnerability affecting Adobe Experience Manager versions 6.5.18 and older. This issue is DOM-based, meaning it exploits vulnerabilities in the handling of user input on the server-side, which can then be used to inject malicious JavaScript into web pages. If a user visits a specially crafted URL, the attacker can execute malicious code within the victim's browser, potentially leading to information disclosure or session hijacking. With low privileges, attackers can use this vulnerability to gain unauthorized access to sensitive data or perform actions on behalf of the affected user. Users are strongly advised to update their Adobe Experience Manager installations to the latest version to mitigate this risk.
