Summary

CVE-2023-48430 is a newly identified vulnerability that impacts all versions of SINEC INS prior to V1.0 SP2 Update 2. This issue lies in the REST API of the affected devices, where there is a failure to validate the length of certain parameters in specific conditions. As a result, a malicious admin can exploit this flaw by sending a specially crafted request, leading to a server crash. The server will then automatically restart, potentially causing disruptions and downtime.
