Summary

CVE-2023-48402 is a vulnerability affecting the ppcfw component. In the "ppcfw_enable" function of "ppcfw.c," a missing permission check creates an opportunity for a potential escalation of privilege (EoP) attack. This vulnerability enables an attacker to gain elevated access without requiring any additional execution privileges or user interaction. Therefore, local attackers can exploit this flaw to escalate their privileges within the system.
