Summary

CVE-2023-48221 is a remote format string vulnerability affecting the Audio, Visual, and Signaling (AVS) functionality of the secure messaging software Wire. This issue, present in versions prior to 9.2.22 and 9.3.5, could potentially lead to denial-of-service attacks or arbitrary code execution. Wire users are advised to update their software to versions 9.2.22 and 9.3.5, which address the issue and are already integrated into all Wire products. No known workarounds are available.
