Summary

CVE-2023-48199 is a newly discovered HTML Injection vulnerability affecting the 'manageApiKeys' component in Grocy versions below 4.0.3. By not properly sanitizing user-supplied data, this issue enables attackers to inject arbitrary HTML content. Attackers can leverage this vulnerability to manipulate page content in the QR code detail popup, potentially exploiting users' trust and the application's weak input handling. This vulnerability does not allow script execution but poses a significant risk through social engineering tactics. Users are strongly advised to update their Grocy installations as soon as possible to mitigate this issue.
