Summary

CVE-2023-48094 is a cross-site scripting (XSS) vulnerability affecting the CesiumJS v1.111 JavaScript library. Attackers can exploit this issue by sending crafted payloads to the vulnerable index.html file located at /container_files/public_html/doc/index.html. Successful exploitation enables attackers to execute arbitrary code in the context of the victim's browser. The vendor clarified that the vulnerable file, Apps/Sandcastle/standalone.html, is part of the CesiumGS/cesium GitHub repository, but it is considered demo code that does not constitute part of the CesiumJS library product.
