Summary

CVE-2023-4809 is a vulnerability affecting pf packet processing. When encountering IPv6 packets with multiple fragment headers, pf incorrectly interprets them as fragmented packets instead of the actual payload. Consequently, IPv6 fragments can bypass pf firewall rules, leading to potential security risks as they may be forwarded or processed by the host unintendedly.
