Summary

CVE-2023-48053 is a vulnerability affecting Archery v1.10.0 that utilizes a non-random or static Initialization Vector (IV) in Advanced Encryption Standard (AES) encryption using Cipher Block Chaining (CBC) mode. This issue poses a risk as an attacker may exploit it to disclose sensitive information or intercept communications. The predictable IV can lead to the decryption of encrypted data, compromising the intended confidentiality and integrity of the encrypted information.
