Summary

CVE-2023-47858 is a vulnerability affecting Mattermost, an open-source team collaboration platform. The issue lies in Mattermost's failure to adequately verify permissions for viewing archived public channels. As a result, a team member can access details about the archived public channels of another team through the GET /api/v4/teams/<team-id>/channels/deleted endpoint. This vulnerability could potentially lead to unintended information disclosure, compromising the privacy of teams using the platform.
