Summary

CVE-2023-47678 is an access control vulnerability affecting all versions of the RT-AC87U router. This issue allows an attacker to read or write files unintended for access by connecting to the device via the Tftp protocol. The vulnerability stems from insufficient access controls, potentially allowing an unauthorized entity to manipulate critical configurations or obtain sensitive information. Users are strongly advised to apply the forthcoming patch from the manufacturer to mitigate this risk. Until then, it's recommended to restrict Tftp access to trusted networks and devices.
