Summary
CVE-2023-47665 is a newly discovered cross-site scripting (XSS) vulnerability affecting the edward_plainview Plainview Protect Passwords plugin before version 1.4. An attacker can exploit this unauthenticated reflected XSS flaw by injecting malicious scripts into a targeted website's URL. Successful exploitation may lead to unauthorized access to user sessions or data, potentially resulting in identity theft or other malicious activities. It is strongly recommended that users update to the latest plugin version to mitigate this risk.
