Summary

CVE-2023-47536 is an access control vulnerability affecting FortiOS versions 7.2.0, 7.0.13 and below, 6.4.14 and below, and FortiProxy versions 7.2.3 and below, 7.0.9 and below, and 2.0.12 and below. An unauthenticated attacker can exploit this CWE-284 issue by manipulating the timing of GeoIP database updates, bypassing the deny geolocalisation policy and gaining access to restricted networks. This vulnerability poses a significant risk, as it allows unauthorized access without the need for authentication. FortiNet recommends immediate patching to mitigate this threat.
