Summary

CVE-2023-47522 is a newly identified reflected Cross-Site Scripting (XSS) vulnerability affecting the Photo Feed plugin versions 2.2.1 and below. An attacker can exploit this issue by injecting malicious scripts into a user's web session through an unauthenticated request to a specific plugin endpoint. The successful execution of these scripts could result in unintended actions, such as stealing sensitive data or taking control over the user's account. This vulnerability poses a significant risk, especially in environments where the plugin is widely used and accessible to untrusted users. It is highly recommended that users update their Photo Feed plugin to the latest version as soon as possible to mitigate this risk.
