Summary

CVE-2023-47308 is a newly discovered vulnerability affecting the "Newsletter Popup PRO with Voucher/Coupon code" module (newsletterpop) in PrestaShop, prior to version 2.6.1, from Active Design. This issue allows a guest to execute SQL injection attacks through the `NewsletterpopsendVerificationModuleFrontController::checkEmailSubscription()` method. The sensitive SQL calls in this function can be manipulated with a simple HTTP request, enabling attackers to forge SQL queries and potentially gain unauthorized access to sensitive data or modify the system configurations. This vulnerability highlights the importance of keeping software up-to-date to protect against known security risks.
