Summary

CVE-2023-47272 is a vulnerability affecting Roundcube email client versions 1.5.x before 1.5.6 and 1.6.x before 1.6.5. Malicious actors can exploit this issue by injecting malicious scripts through a specially crafted Content-Type or Content-Disposition header, when previewing or downloading attachments. Successful exploitation could lead to the execution of arbitrary code within the user's browser, potentially resulting in sensitive data theft or unauthorized account access. Users are advised to upgrade to the latest patched version as soon as possible to mitigate this risk.
