Summary

CVE-2023-47251 is a directory traversal vulnerability affecting versions of mprivacy-tools before 2.0.406g, specifically the TightGate-Pro Server's VNC service. Authenticated attackers with access to a VNC session can exploit this issue by moving malicious PDF files into the .spool directory, which is then automatically transferred to the connected VNC client's filesystem. The vulnerability arises from a flaw in the print function of the VNC service, enabling attackers to gain unintended file access and potentially install malware on the victim's system.
