Summary

CVE-2023-47240 is a stored Cross-Site Scripting (XSS) vulnerability affecting versions 1.1.11 and below of the Codeboxr CBX Map plugin for Google Maps and OpenStreetMap. This issue, specifically in the contributor+ authentication role, allows an attacker to inject malicious scripts into web pages viewed by other users. Successful exploitation could lead to unauthorized access to user information or the ability to execute arbitrary code within the affected application. Users are strongly advised to update their plugins to the latest version to mitigate this risk.
