Summary

CVE-2023-47229 is a stored Cross-Site Scripting (XSS) vulnerability affecting versions 3.1 and below of the Vyas Dipen Top 25 Social Icons plugin for WordPress. An attacker can inject malicious scripts into a victim's website by exploiting the authentication bypass in the plugin's contributor+ role. Successful exploitation could lead to arbitrary code execution and unauthorized access, potentially compromising the entire site. Users are advised to upgrade to the latest version of the plugin or consider disabling it until a patch is available.
