Summary

CVE-2023-47185 is a newly discovered stored Cross-Site Scripting (XSS) vulnerability affecting versions 7.6.11 and below of the wpDiscuz plugin for WordPress. An attacker can exploit this unauthenticated XSS flaw in gVectors Team Comments to inject malicious scripts into a victim's webpage. Successful exploitation could lead to various consequences, such as data theft, session hijacking, or even complete site takeover. Users are strongly encouraged to update their installations of the wpDiscuz plugin to the latest version to mitigate this risk.
