Summary

CVE-2023-47121 is a server-side request forgery vulnerability affecting Discourse, an open-source community discussion platform. The flaw lies in the Embedding feature, which was exploitable prior to versions 3.1.3 of the `stable` branch and 3.2.0.beta3 of the `beta` and `tests-passed` branches. An attacker could manipulate embedded content to issue unintended requests, potentially leading to unauthorized data access or other security issues. The vulnerability has been addressed in the aforementioned versions with patches. As a temporary solution, administrators are advised to disable the Embedding feature.
