Summary

CVE-2023-47113 is a DLL hijacking vulnerability affecting BleachBit for Windows versions up to 4.4.2. By placing a malicious DLL in the c:\\DLLs folder, an attacker can execute arbitrary code during every instance of BleachBit usage. This issue has been mitigated with the release of version 4.5.0, which includes a patch to prevent unauthorized DLL loading. BleachBit, a popular tool for freeing disk space and maintaining privacy, is susceptible to this attack, potentially compromising user systems.
