Summary

CVE-2023-47108 is a vulnerability affecting OpenTelemetry-Go Contrib's grpc Unary Server Interceptor prior to version 0.46.0. This issue allows malicious actors to send numerous requests, flooding the peer address and port labels with unbound cardinality. Consequently, the server may experience potential memory exhaustion. The latest version, 0.46.0, includes a fix for this problem. As a temporary solution, users can remove the affected attributes or disable grpc metrics instrumentation by passing the `otelgrpc.WithMeterProvider` option with `noop.NewMeterProvider`.
