Summary

CVE-2023-4709 is a newly identified vulnerability affecting TOTVS RM 12.1 software. The issue lies within an unnamed function of the Login.aspx file in the Portal component. An attacker can exploit this flaw by manipulating the VIEWSTATE argument, leading to cross-site scripting (XSS) attacks. These attacks can be executed remotely, posing a significant threat to users. The vulnerability identifier is VDB-238572. Unfortunately, the vendor was not responsive to early disclosure attempts regarding this issue.
