Summary

CVE-2023-47049 is a newly identified out-of-bounds read vulnerability affecting Adobe Audition versions 24.0 and earlier, as well as 23.6.1 and earlier. This issue arises during the parsing of a specially crafted file, causing the software to read beyond the end of an allocated memory structure. The consequences of this vulnerability are severe, as an attacker could potentially execute code with the privileges of the current user. Notably, exploitation of this issue necessitates user interaction, meaning a victim must voluntarily open a malicious file for an attack to be successful.
