Summary
CVE-2023-46943: A vulnerability was discovered in the @evershop/evershop package in NPM, affecting versions before 1.0.0-rc.8. The weakness lies in the hardcoded HMAC secret "secret" used for token generation. An attacker can exploit this vulnerability by creating valid JSON Web Tokens (JWTs) using the predictable secret, thereby gaining unauthorized access to sensitive information and actions within the application. This poses a significant risk if the application handles important data or functionality.
