CVE-2023-46717 is a vulnerability affecting FortiOS versions 7.4.1 and below, 7.2.6 and below, and 7.0.12 and below. This issue involves improper authentication (CWE-287) in FortiAuthenticator configured in a high availability (HA) mode. A readonly user can potentially exploit this vulnerability by making successive login attempts, resulting in the user gaining read-write access.
