Summary

CVE-2023-46667 is a vulnerability affecting Fleet Server versions 8.10.0 to 8.10.2. This issue allows an attacker to obtain enrolment tokens in plain text from the Fleet Server log files. These tokens can be used to enrol an agent into an agent policy, granting access to secrets such as Elasticsearch credentials and third-party service keys. An adversary could also potentially register agents to the clusters and send unauthorized events to Elasticsearch. Consequently, unauthorized access to sensitive data and unintended modifications could occur. This vulnerability poses a significant risk and should be addressed promptly.
