CVE-2023-46656 is a vulnerability affecting the Jenkins Multibranch Scan Webhook Trigger Plugin version 1.0.9 and earlier. This issue arises from the use of a non-constant time comparison function when validating webhook tokens. Attackers can exploit this vulnerability by attempting to obtain a valid webhook token through statistical methods, potentially gaining unauthorized access to Jenkins multibranch pipelines. The consequences could include data theft, unauthorized pipeline execution, or other malicious activities. Users are advised to update to version 1.1.0 or later, which addresses this issue.
