Summary

CVE-2023-46650 refers to a stored cross-site scripting (XSS) vulnerability affecting the Jenkins GitHub Plugin version 1.37.3 and earlier. This issue allows attackers with Item/Configure permissions to inject malicious scripts into the Jenkins build page by exploiting the lack of URL escaping for GitHub project URLs shown when displaying changes. This vulnerability could potentially lead to the compromise of user sessions and the execution of arbitrary code. Jenkins users are advised to upgrade to the latest version of the plugin to mitigate this risk.
