Summary

CVE-2023-46496 is a Directory Traversal vulnerability affecting EverShop NPM versions prior to 1.0.0-rc.8. This issue permits a remote attacker to access sensitive information by manipulating DELETE requests to the api/files endpoint. The vulnerability could potentially lead to unauthorized data exposure or other malicious activities. It is recommended that users upgrade to the latest version of EverShop NPM to mitigate this risk. The DELETE function, which is intended to delete specific files or directories, can instead be exploited to navigate outside of the intended directory structure, potentially revealing sensitive information.
