Summary

CVE-2023-46449 is a newly discovered vulnerability affecting the Sourcecodester Free and Open Source inventory management system version 1.0. This issue involves Incorrect Access Control, which allows an arbitrary user to manipulate account access. Specifically, an attacker can exploit the IDOR (Insecure Direct Object Reference) issue in the password change function to alter another user's password and subsequently take over their account. This vulnerability poses a serious risk to system security and necessitates an immediate update to the affected software.
