Summary

CVE-2023-46402 is a vulnerability affecting the git-urls package version 1.0.0. This issue allows an attacker to launch a Regular Expression Denial of Service (ReDoS) attack against the urls.go file. ReDoS attacks can cause the application to consume excessive CPU resources or even crash, leading to a denial of service condition. Exploitation of this vulnerability does not require user interaction or privileged access, making it a potential threat to systems that use the vulnerable git-urls package.
