Summary

CVE-2023-4637 is a vulnerability affecting the WPvivid plugin for WordPress. This issue stems from a missing capability check on the restore() and get_restore_progress() functions in versions up to and including 0.9.94. Consequently, unauthenticated attackers with access to a backup ID can exploit this vulnerability, gaining the ability to invoke these functions and obtain full file paths. This poses a significant risk of unauthorized data access and potential data breaches. Users are advised to update their WPvivid plugin to the latest version to mitigate this threat.
