Summary

CVE-2023-4635 is a Reflected Cross-Site Scripting (XSS) vulnerability affecting the EventON plugin for WordPress. This issue, present in versions up to and including 2.2.2, allows unauthenticated attackers to inject malicious scripts by exploiting insufficient input sanitization and output escaping in the 'tab' parameter. Successful attacks hinge on users being tricked into performing certain actions, such as clicking a malicious link, resulting in the execution of the attacker's script on the affected page.
