Summary

CVE-2023-4634 is a critical vulnerability affecting the Media Library Assistant plugin for WordPress. This issue, present in versions up to 3.09, enables unauthenticated attackers to conduct Local File Inclusion and Remote Code Execution attacks. The root cause is insufficient validation of file paths supplied to the 'mla_stream_file' parameter within the 'mla-stream-image.php' file. This weakness allows adversaries to upload malicious files via FTP, resulting in directory listings, local file inclusions, and potentially, remote code execution. WordPress users are urged to update the Media Library Assistant plugin to the latest version to mitigate this risk.
