Summary

CVE-2023-46321 is a vulnerability affecting iTerm2 versions prior to 3.5.0beta12. The issue lies in the iTermSessionLauncher.m file where x-man-page URLs are not properly sanitized. An attacker could exploit this flaw by injecting shell metacharacters in the URL, potentially launching malicious commands through the /usr/bin/man command line. This vulnerability could lead to arbitrary code execution, posing a significant risk to users. It is recommended that iTerm2 users update to the latest version to mitigate this threat.
