Summary

CVE-2023-46238 is a vulnerability affecting ZITADEL, an identity infrastructure management system. Malicious SVG images, which can contain scripts like JavaScript, can be uploaded and rendered within the platform. Due to the omission of a necessary security header, attackers can inject code into the image, potentially gaining access to a victim's account. For the exploit to be successful, the victim must have an active session in ZITADEL and directly open the malicious image in their browser. This issue has been resolved in versions 2.39.2 and 2.38.2.
