Summary

CVE-2023-46198 is a Cross-Site Request Forgery (CSRF) vulnerability affecting versions 2.9.6 and below of the Scientech It Solution Appointment Calendar plugin. An attacker can exploit this flaw to conduct unauthorized actions on behalf of an authenticated user, such as changing appointment details or canceling appointments. The vulnerability arises due to insufficient input validation and lack of CSRF tokens during certain plugin functions. This issue poses a significant risk to websites using the Appointment Calendar plugin and requires immediate patching to prevent potential attacks.
